New York Giants fans were probably happier than Los Angeles Rams fans on Tuesday when they learned that Sean McVay’s squad signed veteran running back Boston Scott. That’s because no player has owned the Giants in the last several years the way Scott has, which is a bizarre but true trend.
In his career, Scott has carried the ball 90 times for 422 yards and scored nine rushing touchdowns in 10 regular-season games. He’s also caught a touchdown pass and added 222 yards receiving.
For comparison, he doesn’t have more than 178 rushing yards or three touchdowns against a single other team in the NFL. Of Scott’s 17 career touchdowns from scrimmage, 10 of them came against the Giants.
He’s a certified Giant killer, so New York must be thrilled to see him leaving the NFC East. And after the Rams agreed to terms with Scott, everyone on social media made the same joke, while simultaneously checking to see if the Rams play the Giants in 2024.
Spoiler: they do not.
Take a look at some of the funny reactions on Twitter.
