Ronald McDonald won’t be the only one rocking the Sedona-inspired all-turquoise Nike Book 2s in the near future.
McDonald’s is giving away just 50 pairs of Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker’s limited-edition Friends and Family edition through the McDonald’s app from May 22-28.
“McDonald’s has been part of my story long before the league — from being a McDonald’s All-American alum to giving back through Ronald McDonald House, my roots with the brand run deep,” Booker said in a press release on Thursday.
“My sneakers have always been about honoring the places in Arizona that have shaped me over the years and the Nike Book 2 McDonald’s take inspiration from a place I return to every offseason.”
To win the Book 2s, fans need to download the McDonald’s app and head to the rewards and deals section before clicking the bonuses banner and unlocking the sweepstakes bonus.
Fans must make an eligible purchase of one of six new specialty drinks to receive an entry.
Fans can also mail in a handwritten entry, but it must be postmarked between May 22 and May 28.
Entry limits are set at one per participant per day.
The news of the sweepstakes comes after McDonald’s unveiled the gray-and-turquoise colorway, which will be available for purchase online and in stores.
There will also be a one-day, pop-up shop selling the shoes ahead of the general release.
More information on the shop will drop through McDonald’s, Devin Booker and Nike social media channels.

NEW YORK (AP) — Cam Skattebo declared he will be healthy enough to play for the New York Giants in their season opener on Sept. 13 against Dallas after breaking his right fibula and dislocating his right ankle last fall.
Speaking at a team town hall event at the Beacon Theatre Monday night on the eve of the start of organized team activities, the 24-year-old running back said he’s still working his way back from the injury that required surgery.
“Obviously, there’s ups and downs in the injury process and coming back and rehabbing, but the mental battle has been the hardest part: making sure that I trust it fully,” Skattebo said. “I’m a little ways out. Not too far, but I’ll be ready to go. Week 1, I’ll be ready to go.”
General manager Joe Schoen and new coach John Harbaugh have said they are hoping Skattebo is back at some point during training camp. Receiver Malik Nabers, recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee, appears further behind to return.
Skattebo, a 2025 fourth-round pick out of Arizona State, rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries before having his rookie year cut short.
“I do not consider that successful for me,” Skattebo said. “I had 400 yards on 100 carries. When I play 17-plus games this year, it’s going to be 300 carries for over 2,000 yards.”
That drew a round of applause from Giants fans in attendance for the fan event featuring Skattebo and quarterback Jaxson Dart among the veteran players, as well as the team’s rookie class, Harbaugh, Schoen and 1986 Super Bowl champions Phil Simms and Carl Banks.
The 40th anniversary of New York’s first Super Bowl title will be celebrated Oct. 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Phoenix Suns and Mercury are extending their media rights partnership with Arizona’s Family through 2030 in a deal that comes with a new streaming option.
The Arizona’s Family Sports app is expected to launch in the coming days and will feature “Suns+” and “Merc+.”
“We’re so excited to expand our partnership with Arizona’s Family because everything we do is for our fans,” Suns and Mercury owner Mat Ishbia said in a press release Wednesday. “Making Suns and Mercury games free and accessible across Arizona has been a main focus of mine and will continue to be, because these are truly the community’s teams.
“This media deal is about putting our fans first, which I have always said we will do and we will continue to do for years to come.”
The news of the extension comes three years after the two sides came to an agreement to broadcast games over the air. That included giving away 10,000 free TV antennas for fans throughout the state.
Since then, Suns viewership has increased with more than 110,000 viewers per game in Arizona and a top-four mark in the NBA’s local household viewership, according to data from Nielsen Live. The Mercury, meanwhile, have seen almost a 500% viewer increase since the move to over the air.
“We could not be more fortunate to have a partner like the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury,” said Gray Media co-CEO and president Pat LaPlatney. “Mat Ishbia made a fan-first promise to keep these games free and widely accessible across Arizona, and this extension bringing linear and streaming together in one unified Arizona’s Family experience takes that commitment even further.
“We’re proud of what we’ve built since 2023, and we’re excited to keep raising the bar for local sports coverage and serving Suns, Mercury and Valley Suns fans through 2030.”
Arizona Wildcats men’s basketball is headed to Lithuania in August for a trio of exhibition games.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to bring our program to Lithuania in August,” Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd said in a press release Monday. “Not just because it is a special country with incredible people, but because they have a strong passion for the game of basketball just like Arizona fans.
“We look forward to immersing ourselves in the Lithuanian culture, with the added bonus of being able to play a couple exhibition games against some great competition.”
As part of the USA College Lithuania Tour, the Wildcats will play against the national teams of both Lithuania and Ukraine.
Arizona will open play against the Lithuania B team on Aug. 19 before taking on the Ukraine senior national team on Aug. 20.
The Wildcats will wrap up exhibition play against the Lithuania senior national team on Aug. 22.
The men’s senior team for Lithuania has never played against a college team.
The trip to Lithuania, which will include stops in Kaunas and Palanga, also means a return for big man Montiejus Krivas, who is from Lithuania and played for club team Zalgiris Kaunas before heading to Arizona.
“This will be a very special trip for me,” Krivas said. “Being able to have my teammates and coaches visit my home country is something I never thought would happen.
“I am grateful to the Lithuanian Basketball Federation, Complete Sports Management and Coach Lloyd for making it possible. I can’t wait to show everyone what an amazing country Lithuania is and how much we love basketball.”
Start times, and broadcast options will be announced at a later date.

We’re giving away family four-packs of tickets to the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Washington Nationals on Saturday, June 6 — and this isn’t just any regular-season game. It’s one of the most anticipated giveaway nights of the 2026 season.
The first 25,000 fans through the gates will receive a Mystery Corbin Carroll 30/30 Bobblehead commemorating one of the most electrifying seasons in D-backs history. In 2024, Carroll joined baseball’s elite 30/30 club, mashing 30 home runs and swiping 30 stolen bases — and now the moment is immortalized in collectible form.
Here’s the twist: it’s a mystery. Crack open your box and you’ll find one of two exclusive bobbleheads — a hitting version celebrating his 30-homer power or a sliding version honoring his 30-steal speed. Which one will you get? There’s only one way to find out. ⚾
You’ll need a keyword to complete your entry below.
Don’t have it yet? Here’s how to get it:
Corbin Carroll was locked in at the plate Sunday, as he crushed his second home run of the day in the sixth inning of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ series finale against the Colorado Rockies.
With the Diamondbacks up 3-0 in the fourth inning, Carroll hit a 94-mph fastball off Rockies righty Michael Lorenzen into the Colorado bullpen for his sixth homer of the season to make it 5-0.

In his next at-bat, Carroll crushed a cutter off Rockies reliever Blas Castano that went nearly 450 feet to extend the Diamondbacks’ lead to 8-2. His second homer of the day marked the ninth-career multi-home run game of Carroll’s career. His last multi-homer game came on June 3 last season against the Atlanta Braves.

Carroll’s offensive outburst was a welcome sight for the Diamondbacks after Arizona left 10 runners on base and went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position in a 4-2 loss to the Rockies Saturday. In addition to Carroll’s home runs, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit his first dinger of the season in the fifth inning.

“As we look outside the radio booth right now, tons of dark and not the most welcoming clouds,” Diamondbacks play-by-play voice Chris Garagiola said pregame.
Michael Soroka was set to take the mound for Arizona coming off one earned run over his last 12.2 innings pitched (two starts). He will face right-hander Michael Lorenzen (6.55 ERA).
When the delay is over, catch the action on 98.7, the Arizona Sports app or online.
The D-backs won the series opener, 9-1, Friday behind Merrill Kelly’s first career complete game before the Rockies took Game 2, 4-2, on Saturday.
Running back Wayne Shanks Jr. committed to Arizona on Friday, marking the fourth 2027 prospect to choose the Wildcats.
Shanks is ranked 40th among his position as the No. 585 player in the class, according to 247 Sports’ composite ranking. He grades out as the Wildcats’ top commitment so far.
The Houston native chose head coach Brent Brennan and Arizona out of a final four that included Kansas, Arkansas and Tulane.
He is Arizona’s first running back to commit in the 2027 class, which also includes tight end Max Markofski and wide receivers Trey Smith and Braylen Ross.
Shanks rushed for 1,787 yards and 24 scores as a junior with 352 yards and six touchdowns through the air, per MaxPreps. He also attempted five passes, completing two for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Scouting analyst for 247 Sports Gabe Brooks evaluated Shanks earlier in May, with the following notes included:
Knows how to shorten steps/strides to press blocks and enter lanes. Shows some sudden jump-cutting ability, including in box traffic. More of a one-speed open-field runner who can better mix in some accel/decel nuance and squeeze some of that top-end juice more effectively. Still working on angles and engaging pop when asked to pass block. Runs hard and gets some yards-after-contact production.
Projects to the Power Four level as an eventual lead-back candidate who can handle a higher workload as a ball carrier and pass-catching option.
Coaches from Arizona’s staff — offensive coordinator Seth Doege and running backs coach Lyle Moevao — visited Shanks’ home on May 6 to cement the connection.
The 2026-27 Arizona State men’s basketball roster has the makings of an NCAA Tournament team entering head coach Randy Bennett’s first season at the helm.
As of Saturday, ASU has the 11th-ranked transfer portal haul in the country, third among teams with new head coaches and the best in the Big 12, according to 247 Sports. The Sun Devils had been outside the top 40 the past three seasons, including down at 70th entering last year.
The last ASU team to make the NCAA Tournament was in 2022-23 behind a transfer haul that ranked 14th with point guard Frankie Collins, center Warren Washington and Cambridge brothers Desmond and Devan.
With the benefit of an extra 16 teams getting a ticket to the Big Dance (24 play-in teams instead of eight previously), Bennett will try to take ASU where he took Saint Mary’s in each of the past five seasons (12 appearances in 25 years).
Following the Thursday addition of Serbian center Filip Malesevic, this year’s roster includes 12 players, 10 of whom are newcomers to Tempe. Three more scholarship spots are open and will likely be filled, as athletic director Graham Rossini continues to highlight ASU’s maximization of the new revenue-sharing model.
Here’s what the starting lineup could look like in Year 1, headlined by No. 10 overall transfer Paulius Murauskas:
Shaw and Murauskas were the only Gaels to follow Bennett from Saint Mary’s. One player previously committed to the Gaels out of high school, combo guard JRob Croy, flipped his pledge to ASU once Bennett took the job.
Croy rounds out the backcourt depth along with Bryce Ford and Vijay Wallace, the pair of returning Sun Devils.
Ford is coming off a recent hip surgery, and Bennett hopes he can return to practice sometime in October. Wallace did not play in 2025-26 after a devastating injury in a preseason exhibition, but he is on track to be fully healthy and available for this season.
Another reliable option to handle the ball and make plays for others is the biggest remaining need, as that’s where depth is most shallow. Multiple additions wouldn’t hurt, either, as ASU’s only player with more than two assists per game in a previous college season outside of Foxwell is Murauskas (2.1).
The wing depth is present but especially young, as Marcus Vaughns (LSU) will turn 19 early in the season and Ajak Nyuon (Australia) turned 19 this week. Neither have logged minutes at the college level yet.
ASU only has a few reliable perimeter shooters to this point, so the wings could use another if it can be found.
Malesevic’s addition solidified the center depth with three 7-footers, the aforementioned Serbian being the tallest at 7-foot-3. Defty, a German native, is more likely to start given his proven prior production at the college level. The third is Nate Garcia, who logged 98 minutes across 16 games while at Cal Baptist playing for new ASU associate head coach Rick Croy.
Top-end size will not be a hindrance on this roster the way it has plagued some previous ASU squads, but the centers’ footspeed will be tested against a very athletic Big 12 schedule.
The waiting game is over. The Arizona Cardinals’ 2026 schedule is out, and boy is it a gauntlet.
Already ranked as one of the toughest schedules before Thursday’s reveal, first-year head coach Mike LaFleur’s 2026 calendar is filled with plenty of twists, turns and title contenders.
A look at the biggest takeaways from Arizona’s regular-season schedule:
A steep uphill climb from the jump
Arizona may have a last-place schedule, but it feels more like a first-place gauntlet.
Based on last year’s win totals, the Cardinals sport the third-toughest schedule in the league.
And a lot of those problem areas for Arizona come right out of the gates.
Across the first seven weeks, the Cardinals face opponents with projected win totals of at least 9.5 games in all but one — the New York Giants (7.5) in Week 4.
The toughest draws early on include all three NFC West foes, with a smattering of the Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos.
Want to go a step further? The Cardinals open up the season with six road games across their first nine games. And for the fourth straight year, Arizona opens up on the road.
No rest for the wicked
Getting a bye week closer to the middle of the season could have really benefited the Cardinals. It could have given LaFleur a bigger sample size to implement tweaks to the system, while potentially giving rookie quarterback Carson Beck an extended ramp-up period before taking the starting reins.
And that’s before mentioning Arizona has an additional preseason game this season (Hall of Fame Game), only adding to season’s length.
Instead, Arizona gets the latest bye possible in Week 14. Out of the bye, that leaves just four games left in the regular season.
The only other times the Cardinals have had this late of a bye in the past was in 1991 and 2023.
For what it’s worth, Arizona posted four wins in each of those seasons.
Announcer voice: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
After getting shut out of any international games, the Cardinals were one of five teams kept off the primetime slate entirely. The New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders round out the group.
That means a whole lot of Sundays!
The only game that could fall on a different day currently is the Cardinals’ Week 18 tilt against the San Francisco 49ers.
But even then, it’s Saturday or Sunday.
Playing meteorologist
You never know with weather but based on where Arizona’s open-air games fall on the schedule, it may have avoided the worst of it.
Getting their trip to New York out of the way in Week 4 is a big plus for the Cardinals. And although games in Seattle, Kansas City and Washington fall in the back half of the schedule, all fall before December hits.
A small win in an otherwise brutal schedule.
The home stretch
On the flip side of starting out the season on the road more often than not, the Cardinals get a late-season reprieve with six of their final eight games at home.
Arizona has just one road game across the final seven weeks of the season.
Confidence builders
On top of those home tilts, the Cardinals also get a lengthy break from playoff contenders with three straight games against the Jets (Week 15), New Orleans Saints (Week 16) and Las Vegas Raiders (Week 17). New Orleans has the highest projected win total at 7.5 games. The others sit at 5.5.
For a team with low expectations, this is a stretch it could potentially capitalize on, especially if and when Beck is running the show.
Knowing two of those games (Jets and Raiders) will be played at State Farm Stadium only adds to that thinking.
As for wrapping up against the 49ers in Week 18, that’s another story.
The full NFL schedule doesn’t officially drop until 5 p.m. MST on Thursday, but that hasn’t stopped the leaks from pouring in.
It was a relatively quiet morning for the Arizona Cardinals compared to a lot of the other teams in the league.
A running list at the latest reports regarding the Cardinals’ 2026 regular season schedule:
For a fourth-straight season, Arizona will reportedly open up the year on the road.
This time, it’ll travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers, based on process of elimination through the official international game schedule and multiple reports around the league.
Of Arizona’s opponents, San Francisco, Los Angeles (Rams), Dallas, New York (Giants), Denver, Kansas City and Seattle are all on the primetime slate in Week 1.
Other reports indicate the New York Jets will take on the Tennessee Titans, and the Las Vegas Raiders will face the Miami Dolphins in their respective season openers. The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders are expected to square up, while the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions will go at.
That leaves the Chargers are the last team standing for Arizona’s Week 1 tilt.
Los Angeles has made the playoffs in each of the past two season under head coach Jim Harbaugh. It has posted back-to-back 11-6 records.
Arizona’s first schedule leak has the franchise heading to New York in Week 4 for a game against the Giants.
After floundering at 3-14 and 4-13 the past two seasons, respectively, New York swung big and landed on head coach John Harbaugh to turn things around.
And yes, running back Cam Skattebo is still on the roster for any inquiring Arizona State fans.
A look at the opponents Arizona faces in 2026:
Home
– San Francisco 49ers
– Los Angeles Rams
– Seattle Seahawks
– Philadelphia Eagles
– Washington Commanders
– Denver Broncos
– Las Vegas Raiders
– New York Jets
– Detroit Lions
Away
– San Francisco 49ers
– Los Angeles Rams
– Seattle Seahawks
– Dallas Cowboys
– New York Giants
– Kansas City Chiefs
– Los Angeles Chargers
– New Orleans Saints
The NFL schedule reveal will take place at 5 p.m. MST and can be watched on ESPN and the NFL Network.
The Arizona Cardinals signed undrafted rookie free agent Stephen Dix Jr. on Thursday.
He marks the eighth UDFA Arizona has brought in this offseason following a batch of signings soon after the 2026 NFL Draft.
Dix will wear No. 48.
The 6-foot-2, 231-pound linebacker spent the past two seasons at Arkansas after stints at Florida State (2020-21) and Marshall (2023). He missed the 2022 season due to injury.
Last year for the Razorbacks (12 games), Dix recorded 79 tackles (four for loss) and one sack.
Dix now joins an inside linebackers room led by Mack Wilson Sr., Cody Simon and Jack Gibbens are next in line as starting candidates, followed by Owen Pappoe. Austin Keys and 2026 sixth-round pick Karson Sharar round out the room.
Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Chase Bisontis signed his four-year rookie contract on Wednesday.
Officially an AZ Cardinal 🤝@CBisontis | #BirdGang pic.twitter.com/ICh1kzogKk
— Arizona Cardinals (@AZCardinals) May 13, 2026
The news comes after Arizona wrapped up its rookie minicamp last week.
Bisontis was drafted with the No. 34 overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft after spending three seasons at Texas A&M.
He started 36 games and played both left guard and right tackle for the Aggies.
Bisontis is expected to be in the mix to start at guard as a rookie but also has the versatility to kick outside if need be.
“I’m really attacking it from center out,” Bisontis said Monday. “Because if something goes wrong, I want to be that guy. To know all five, even the tight end and running back, their responsibilities, will be helpful.”
“I’m just ready to do whatever,” the rookie added. “Whatever gets me on the field, whatever helps the team and myself.”
With Bisontis putting pen to paper on Wednesday, two Arizona rookies remain unsigned:
– QB Carson Beck (third round)
– DL Kaleb Proctor (fourth round)
Both Beck and Proctor took part in rookie minicamp last week.
The second annual Cardinals Climb at State Farm Stadium is set for Feb. 20, 2027.
It is focused on raising funds for “organizations leading innovative and transformative work to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
The inaugural event this past February raised more than $2 million with more than 3,500 individuals participating across 200 teams. The money raised was spread out across 60 different special needs organizations.

Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is the site for the 2026 PGA Championship this week. It’s the second major of the season, meaning we’ll see the world’s best golfers compete against a cut line, with the Wanamaker Trophy and $3.42 million of the record-breaking $19 million purse at stake.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to the field as the betting favorite after skipping out on the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club last week. Rory McIlroy, Cameron Young, Jon Rahm, Ludvig Åberg, and Xander Schauffele are also heavy betting favorites.
Aronimink is a par 70, tipping at just under 7,400 yards. Its immense greens and three-inch rough, combined with nearly 200 sand bunkers, mean there are a variety of ways for golfers to climb the leaderboard this week. Accuracy is imperative off-the-tee, along with distance, so players who specialize off-the-tee, or with a strong short game, can leverage that ability to contend.
My PGA DFS Lineup Advice for the 2026 Truist Championship yielded yet another mixed bag of results. Ludvig Åberg justified his Tier 1 price with a T8 finish, while Matt Fitzpatrick slid to a disappointing T52 finish. In Tier 2, Adam Scott’s T24 finish was decent, while Ben Griffin’s 73-75 in Round 2 and Round 3 tanked lineups. In Tier 3, Webb Simpson’s low price didn’t return value with a T48 finish, although Alex Fitzpatrick’s top-five finish and near win helped boost production in lineups.
It’s major time, and I’ve got six golfers to plug into DraftKings and FanDuel DFS lineups ahead of Round 1 on Thursday. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more DFS picks and insight during the remainder of the PGA Tour season.
DraftKings Salary: $50,000 | FanDuel Salary: $60,000
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Cameron Young | $10,200 | $11,600 |
| Ludvig Åberg | $9,800 | $10,900 |
2026 has been a great year for several PGA Tour golfers, including Cameron Young. He’s won two Signature Events and has four top 10 finishes in his last five starts.
Young profiles well at Aronimink, ranked eighth in total driving, second in total strokes gained, 21st in SG: Approach, and 10th in proximity. Short game is also an advantage, ranked second in scrambling and 15th in putts per round.
I’m running back to Ludvig Åberg for a second straight event. The Swede has five top 10 finishes in his last six starts, coming off a T8 at Quail Hollow on Sunday.
Åberg ranks third in total strokes gained, including top 10 in scoring and birdie averages. This includes 10th SG: Approach, 25th SG: Off-the-Tee, fifth in proximity, and leading all PGA Tour golfers in 200+ yard approach shots.

| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Patrick Cantlay | $8,900 | $9,900 |
| Si Woo Kim | $7,900 | $10,400 |
Patrick Cantlay is riding a heater, logging a T12 finish or better in four straight events. The 2021 FedExCup champion posted a T12 at the Masters during the first major of the season.
Now, Cantlay is available to secure at a fair Tier 2 salary for the PGA Championship. Notable ranks include 20th at finding greens in regulation, 20th in scrambling, with top 20 marks in scoring average and par 4 scores.
Next up, we’ve got Si Woo Kim. The South Korean native has been dialed in this season with six top 10 finishes, despite a season-worst T65 at the Truist Championship.
Keep confidence in Kim. He’s ranked fourth in SG: Approach, 16th in SG: Off-the-Tee, including third in driving accuracy, while pacing all PGA Tour golfers in proximity. It’s why he’s 12th or better in birdie average, scoring average, and par 4 scoring.
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Alex Fitzpatrick | $5,900 | $8,300 |
| Lucas Glover | $5,600 | $7,300 |
Alex Fitzpatrick had his first solo win opportunity in hand at Quail Hollow on Sunday. However, he fell short with poor putting, which still yielded a big ROI at a Tier 3 salary.
I’m still confident in the Englishman to keep his momentum rolling into Aronimink, as Fitzpatrick has logged consecutive top 10 finishes since securing his PGA Tour card with a win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. After leading the Truist Championship on approach, let’s slide him into lineups at another discounted salary.
Lucas Glover is a veteran, so he’ll know what to expect when he rolls into Aronimink this week. Glover has largely struggled this season, although a recent T14 finish at the Cadillac Championship is encouraging.
He ranks seventh in driving accuracy and fifth in proximity. Glover is also sporting top 30 marks in one-putt percentage and putts per round, so plug him into lineups, banking on his upside to show up in Philadelphia this week.
