The PGA Tour will conclude its stay in the Lone Star State with the 2026 Valero Texas Open this week. TPC San Antonio Oaks Course is the site for this event, featuring a stock par 72 running over 7,400 yards with overseeded Bermudagrass surfaces.
Brian Harman returns as the defending champion. However, oddsmakers have him valued as a distant 65-1 favorite to repeat at TPC San Antonio. Golfers with the most expensive DFS salaries in the field this week include betting favorite Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Ã…berg, and Russell Henley.
Last week’s PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open) had a couple of studs and duds. Jake Knapp tied a course record 62 on Sunday for a T6 finish as our Tier 1 prospect, while Brooks Koepka missed the cut in a shocking result. Pierceson Coody withdrew, while Ryan Fox missed the cut. Keith Mitchell (T14) and Sudarshan Yellamaraju (T6) boosted lineups with high-value Tier 2 and Tier 3 production.
Let’s try to string together more consistent high-performers in the final PGA Tour event before The Masters. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more DFS picks and insight during the 2026 PGA Tour season.
PGA DFS: Top Golfers (2026 Valero Texas Open)
DraftKings Salary: $50,000 | FanDuel Salary: $60,000
TIER 1
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Russell Henley | $9,800 | $11,800 |
| Sepp Straka | $9,200 | $10,700 |
Russell Henley’s last outing at TPC San Antonio in 2024 yielded a career-best solo fourth-place finish. Henley is red-hot in 2026, carding five top 20 finishes in six events. Ranks 12th in total strokes gained, 31st in SG: Approach, fifth in driving accuracy, and 14th in SG: Putting.
Our other Tier 1 prospect at Valero this week is Sepp Straka. The tee-to-green afficiando ranks 12th in SG: Approach, 22nd in total strokes gained, and 29th for 200+ yard approach shots this season. The Austrian also sits 21st in putting average and 20th for birdie average. MC-T67-T22 in three trips to TPC San Antonio.
TIER 2
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Sudarshan Yellamaraju | $8,100 | $10,000 |
| Ryo Hisatsune | $8,300 | $9,800 |
There’s no way we’re not running back Sudarshan Yellamaraju after his strong T6 finish at Memorial Park on Sunday. Despite making his debut at Valero, the PGA Tour rookie is dominating. Yellamaraju is ranked 14th in total strokes gained, including second in total driving, 19th in SG: Putting, and fifth for proximity.
Ryo Hisatsune is also playing quality tee-to-green golf in 2026. Hisatsune carded a T5 finish in his second trip to TPC San Antonio a year ago. The Japanese native has three top 10 finishes this year, while ranked 15th in SG: Off-the-Tee and third at finding greens in regulation. We’ve got to roster a golfer ranked 25th in scoring average and 22nd in birdie average at this Tier 2 salary.
TIER 3
| Golfer | DK $ | FD $ |
| Marco Penge | $7,800 | $9,700 |
| Sam Ryder | $6,500 | $8,100 |
Marco Penge has seen his name near the top of a few leaderboards this season. The Englishman has a T16 and a T4 with a pair of missed cuts, making him a textbook boom-or-bust prospect. Penge is making his debut at TPC San Antonio, while leading the PGA Tour in SG: Off-the-Tee, including eighth in driving distance.
Finally, Sam Ryder, a PGA Tour veteran, takes our final roster spot at a cheap rate. Ryder has yet to crack a top 20 finish this season, but he’s logged a T3 finish at the 2023 Valero Texas Open. Ranks 17th in SG: Putting and 47th in SG: Approach, so don’t hesitate to prioritize Ryder as a high-floor Tier 3 golfer this week.
