The Arizona Cardinals signed cornerback Steven Gilmore on Sunday with cornerbacks Starling Thomas V and Jaden Davis headed to injured reserve.
Thomas suffered a torn ACL on Day 3 of training camp, while Davis suffered a knee injury on Day 2.
“(Davis is) gonna miss some time but has a possibility to possibly come back,” Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said on Sunday after confirming Thomas would miss the entire season.
“Feel awful and bad for those guys. Obviously talked to both of them. These guys go through a lot and put a lot in, and it’s just a tough break,” Gannon said. “They’ll do everything they can do to get back and both of them will be back at some point, and we’ll move on.”
