Arizona State football remained on the outside looking in for the third straight week of The Associated Press’ Top 25 poll following the bye.
After ASU (6-3, 4-2 Big 12) received four votes after its win against Iowa State last week, the Sun Devils got seven votes.
ASU received three votes in the latest Coaches Poll. The Sun Devils received two votes last week.
The Sun Devils will be back in action at Mountain America Stadium on Saturday to face West Virginia (4-6, 2-5 Big 12). The Mountaineers are coming off a 29-22 win against Colorado in Week 11.
How Big 12 fared in latest AP poll?
Texas Tech jumped up to No. 8 following its 29-7 win against BYU on Saturday. The Red Raiders (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) are now in a good spot to reach the Big 12 title game as they are first in the conference and are one of three teams with one conference loss, along with BYU (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) and Cincinnati (7-2, 5-1 Big 12). BYU dropped to No. 12 following the loss.
Cincinnati climbed up three spots to No. 22 during its bye week. Cincinnati will host Arizona on Saturday. Utah moved up to No. 15 in the latest AP poll.
The top five teams in the AP poll remained the same from last week.
