Devin Booker among Suns ruled out vs. Houston Rockets

The Pheonix Suns will be without guard Devin Booker and a handful of others for their Wednesday night game against the Houston Rockets.

The star guard is dealing with a lower back contusion after scoring 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting to go along with two rebounds and nine assists in just over 39 minutes of work in Tuesday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Booker hadn’t missed a game since Dec. 28’s loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Joining Booker as out is sharpshooter Grayson Allen, who is dealing with left knee soreness.

He had nine points on 3-of-9 shooting against the Grizzlies after missing the game prior with the same issue.

Jalen Bridges, meanwhile, will be on G League assignment.

Bradley Beal, Cody Martin remain out for Suns

Also sidelined Wednesday night are guards Bradley Beal and Cody Martin.

Beal continues to deal with a right toe sprain, while Martin is still working through a sports hernia.

This marks Beal’s fourth game missed. Martin has yet to make his Phoenix debut due to the injury.

Speaking of still awaiting his Suns debut, Vasilije Micic is questionable for Wednesday’s game with a left ankle sprain.

Rockets injury report

On Houston’s side of things, Jabari Smith Jr. (left metacarpal fracture) and Fred VanVleet (right ankle strain) remain out, while Alperen Sengun (lower back spasm) is questionable.

The Suns take on the Rockets at 6:30 p.m. Catch all the action on the Arizona Sports app, 98.7 and ArizonaSports.com.
