Report: Klint Kubiak to be Raiders’ head coach, out of Cardinals’ search

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is expected to become the Las Vegas Raiders’ next head coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The coordinator was Arizona’s latest head-coaching interview, meeting with the team on Saturday, a day before Seattle headed to northern California for the Super Bowl. The Raiders also met with Kubiak earlier in the day.

Pegged as one of the top head-coaching candidates in the league this hiring cycle, Kubiak is coming off a stellar first season as Seahawks OC.

The Seahawks finished the regular season with the third-best scoring offense in the league (28.4 per game) and was the eighth-ranked unit in total yards (351.4). The Seahawks’ success offensively poured over into the postseason, where Seattle ranked as the top scoring offense (36 points per game).

His work with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been equally impressive, with the pass catcher reeling in 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns on 119 catches, all career highs. He’s getting it done in the playoffs, too, behind 13 catches for 172 yards and a pair of scores.

Before his time in Seattle, Kubiak was the OC for the New Orleans Saints in 2024. He took over in New Orleans after serving as the San Francisco 49ers’ passing game coordinator in 2023.

Kubiak also had one-year stints with the Denver Broncos (2022) and Minnesota Vikings (2021) as passing game coordinator/QBs coach and offensive coordinator, respectively.

He got his NFL start with the Vikings as an offensive quality control coach.
