GCU Antelopes men’s basketball 2025 transfer portal tracker

The GCU men’s basketball team is at a crossroads this offseason, as it has to replace several key members from the most successful era in program history.

The ‘Lopes have made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances with lead guard Ray Harrison, who has exhausted his eligibility, at the forefront of all three teams. Tyon Grant-Foster, a star on the last two tournament teams, also saw his college career come to an end.

Grant-Foster, JaKobe Coles and Lok Wur, all core members of the ‘Lopes rotation, are now in the portal hoping for the NCAA to tweak some rules.

Some of the remaining players started entering the portal on March 28, including a trio of freshmen who could’ve been long-term answers.

Seven-foot center Austin Maurer, four-star recruit Sammie Yeanay and Phoenix St. Mary’s product Styles Phipps all entered the portal after combining for 266 minutes across 45 games played. The ‘Lopes also do not have any incoming freshmen in the 2025 class.

The biggest departure so far, however, is Duke Brennan, who was second-team All-WAC with 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds in 30 games (all starts). The one-time Arizona State Sun Devil is the cousin of Arizona head football coach Brent Brennan.

As things stand mid-April, GCU’s biggest holdovers into the 2025-26 season would be Makaih Williams (8.2 points and 2.4 assists per game while starting 20 of 34 contests) and Chandler Valley Christian wing Caleb Shaw (6.1 points on 42.6% 3-point shooting).
