Cardinals CB Kei’Trel Clark says NFL fined him for a teeny tiny towel

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Kei’Trel Clark said the NFL fined him $5,797 for wearing a thin strip of a black towel that broke league protocols last week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Clark posted a picture of the fine for what the league called a “black streamer towel” that broke the color code — only white towels are allowed and they must be licensed by the league.

“Streamers or ribbons, regardless of length, hanging from any part of the uniform are prohibited,” according to the NFL policy on towels.

A four-slide series of Instagram story posts allowed Clark to vent.

“$5,700 over a towel that match the colors I’m wearing,” he wrote.

Clark added, “We don’t wanna wear them QB towels fam,” before posting a picture of former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wearing a large, white piece of laundry that you might find hanging next to a restroom sink.

“This my drip rest of the season at DB respect to the 12,” Clark wrote, meaning we will have to see if he will follow through by carrying a beach towel next game.

Here’s a larger picture of Clark’s towel indiscretion.
