Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings & Waiver Wire Pickups (Week 8)

Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings & Waiver Wire Pickups (Week 8)

Sunday’s game between the Packers and the Lions was filled with crazy plays, head-scratching coaching decisions, egregious roughing-the-passer calls, the return of Josh Jacobs and all that goes along with his situation, and Jahmyr Gibbs nearly blowing out his knee trying to not score in the closing minute.

With so much going on in this divisional match, the disastrous kicking performance by rookie kicker Trey Smack gets buried among all the storylines.

Smack shanked a 26-yard field goal attempt after a delay-of-game penalty in the first quarter, only to follow that up with a 35-yard blocked attempt with 4:50 in the fourth quarter that would have given the Packers the lead. That gives Smack five missed field goals and two missed extra points on the season, putting him somewhat on the hot seat as the Packers are now 4-3 on the season and in last place in the NFC Central.

Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings & Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 8

The 49ers continue to have kicking woes of their own, as Eddy Pinerio missed yet another extra point for the NFC West-leading Niners. Although the missed kick was not the deciding factor that led to their road loss against the Falcons, it did leave them needing two scores instead of a touchdown and two-point conversion on their final doomed drive that ended in a fumble by George Kittle.

Kyle Shanahan may have another kicking tryout over the break, even though San Francisco did sign Pineiro to an extension over the offseason.

Widely Available Kickers with Strong Week 7 Performances

Cairo Santos (K – CHI) vs. New England: 44% rostered on Yahoo

Santos led all scorers through Sunday Night with 15 fantasy points. He posted three field goals and three extra points, and even missed a long 50-yard try that would have given him a monster score on the week. Santos now has five of seven weeks with at least nine fantasy points and continues to be someone you can start in leagues.

Wil Lutz (K – DEN) @ Arizona: 15% rostered on Yahoo

Lutz kicking in the thin air of Denver for the last few seasons should have been a great opportunity for the veteran kicker to be a strong fantasy option, especially in leagues that offer distance bonuses. It just hasn’t transpired for the veteran kicker, but he does have periodic games where he does come through for fantasy managers. This week on the road against Arizona proved to be one of those weeks, with 14 fantasy points.

Widely Rostered Kickers With Dud Week 7 Performances

Spencer Shrader (K – IND) @ Minnesota: 88% rostered on Yahoo

The stud of the first quarter of the season had his first dud performance with four fantasy points after averaging 15 points per game in his previous five contests. While it looks disappointing on paper, he did have an opportunity to have a solid game with a pair of long kicks that he missed. Don’t move on from Shrader, as he is still a top-5 option for the rest of the season.

*Red Zone Efficiency is based on the inverse of how well a kicker’s offense does in the red zone. For example, a team ranked 30th in red-zone efficiency receives an RZ EFF score of 2. The lower the number, the better for kickers, as playing on a team that struggles to score touchdowns in the red zone leads to more field-goal opportunities.

**The K Score combines several variables that can influence fantasy kicking success, including Vegas spread, opponent red-zone defense, offensive red-zone efficiency, overall offensive production, kicker consistency and weather. A lower K Score indicates that more of these variables are working in the kicker’s favor.

Kicker rankings are based on the K Score along with matchup analysis, projected game environment and other factors that can impact kicking opportunities. The K Score is intended as a guide rather than a definitive predictor, as game script and other unpredictable variables can significantly impact fantasy kicking performance.

Week 8 Upside Plays

Jake Bates (K – DET) vs Vikings: 70% rostered on Yahoo

Bates has overcome Dan Campbell’s tendency to go for it more than other head coaches, scoring 37 fantasy points in his last three games, including an 18-point breakout Week 4 against the Panthers. Look for a floor of around 7 fantasy points and a ceiling of about 14, based on his K Score of 28, the week’s top K score.

Harrison Butker (K – KC) @ Denver: 33% rostered on Yahoo

Butker has been inconsistent this season with only two games of 12 or more fantasy points. He disappointed last week against Seattle, but really everyone on the Chiefs struggled in what was a lopsided contest. Butker is not an every-week play, but he is a decent streamer this week on the road in Denver.

Week 7 Prediction Review

Jason Myers (K – SEA) vs Chiefs: 90% rostered on Yahoo

  • ECR Rank: K11
  • My Rank: K2
  • Week 7 Finish: T12

Myers made both of his field goal tries on the day and both extra points in the Seahawks’ win over the visiting Chiefs. A late long touchdown run by Emmanuel Wilson negated what would have been a likely third field goal from Myers that would have possibly gotten him to a top 5 finish, but Wilson sealed the deal on the ground, and Myers was left with a solid, but not great, week,

Andre Szmyt (K – CLE) @ Tennessee: 1% rostered on Yahoo

  • ECR Rank: K21
  • My Rank: K1
  • Week 12 Finish: T12

Like Myers, Szmyt had a solid, if not great, week with eight fantasy points. The disappointing part is that he missed a 45-yard try that would have made him a top-3 player of the week, but he bounced back with the game-winner for the Browns in the closing minutes.

fantasy football waiver wire planner

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice: Drop or Hold? (Week 8)

Let’s look at a few players on the fringe of fantasy rosters and whether you should continue to hold them or cut them loose.

Drop Recommendations

Droppable

MarShawn Lloyd is still being rostered in 50% or Yahoo leagues. With Josh Jacobs returning from a six-game suspension, Lloyd is now a mere backup on a team that has difficulty running the ball. Drop Lloyd unless you have Jacobs and want to handcuff him.

Droppable With a Chance of Regret

The emergence of Jonah Coleman makes J.K. Dobbins a drop candidate. Dobbins played 23% of the Broncos’ offensive snaps Sunday in their win over the Cardinals and had only six carries. One of those carries went for a touchdown that salvaged Dobbins’ day for fantasy purposes, but the touchdown deodorant won’t mask the stench of a sickly workload every week. Dobbins offers next to nothing as a pass catcher, and with Coleman moving in on his rushing share, Dobbins becomes expendable.

To this point, we have resisted the urge to list Jaylen Waddle as a potential drop. We can resist no more after Waddle, QB Bo Nix and the Broncos had a delicious matchup with the Cardinals in Week 7, and Waddle produced only 4-48-0 on seven targets. It was actually Waddle’s best fantasy output in three weeks. Waddle also left the game with a chest injury in the fourth quarter and didn’t return. Waddle had 8-138-0 against the Jaguars in Week 2. He’s had fewer than 50 yards in every other game, and he’s had three games with fewer than 20 receiving yards. Waddle has been a terrific player over his five previous NFL seasons, but he’s just not clicking with Nix in Denver. Waddle could absolutely come on and make you regret dropping him. We feel obligated to lay out that caveat. But we’re knee-deep in byes, and you might really need to open up a roster spot. If you do, we will not excoriate you for dropping Waddle.

Don’t Drop Yet

Jordan Addison had 2-20-0 on three targets against the Colts in Week 7. It was a disappointing stat line, but Addison had 9-142-1 on 15 targets in his previous two games, and he gets a terrific matchup against the Lions this week. If Addison lays an egg against Detroit, then you have our blessing to cut him.

Josh Downs has been AWOL lately, with 12-121-0 on 22 targets over his last four games. But Downs led the Colts’ wide receivers in snaps (52) and routes (25) in Week 7, tying for the team lead in targets with three. There’s no case to be made that Downs is still a top-30 fantasy receiver, but with a favorable schedule in the weeks to come, Downs is still roster-worthy in normal-sized and deeper leagues. The Colts face the pass-funnel Jaguars this week, then the flammable Dallas defense in Week 9, the Dolphins in Week 10, the Texans in Week 11, and the Giants in Week 12. Don’t dump Downs just yet.

TreVeyon Henderson has been quiet and largely ineffective this season. He’s averaging 3.9 yards per carry and is RB44 in half-point PPR fantasy scoring. Henderson has had limited work the last two weeks while playing through an ankle injury. He’s behind Rhamondre Stevenson on the depth chart, and Corey Kiner is getting significant RB snaps for the Patriots, too. Still, it’s worth remembering that when Stevenson missed three games last season, Henderson had 330 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns in Stevenson’s absence and was RB3 in fantasy scoring over that span. If Stevenson were to get hurt again or fall victim to the fumbling issues that have plagued him in the past, Henderson could quickly become a valuable asset.

Top Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Jonah Coleman & Omar Cooper Jr.

Top Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Jonah Coleman & Omar Cooper Jr.

Looking for the top Week 8 fantasy football waiver wire pickups? Jonah Coleman and Omar Cooper Jr. stand out as priority targets after encouraging Week 7 performances. Coleman led Denver’s backfield in snaps in his return from injured reserve, while Cooper delivered his second consecutive game with 100-plus receiving yards and a touchdown. Whether you need help at running back or wide receiver, we break down their fantasy outlooks and recommended FAAB bids to help you prioritize your Week 8 waiver claims.

fantasy football waiver wire planner

Top Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Jonah Coleman & Omar Cooper Jr.

Here are two of the top fantasy football waiver wire pickups to target in Week 8.

Top Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups to Target for Week 8

Jonah Coleman (RB – DEN): 35% Rostered

  • Next Opponents: KC, @CAR, BYE
  • True Value: $25
  • Desperate Need: $50
  • Budget-Minded: $15

Analysis: Jonah Coleman is going to command some serious attention on waivers this week.

You might recall the waiver enthusiasm for Coleman in Week 3, when it seemed as if JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey were both in danger of missing time with hamstring issues. There were some zesty FAAB bids for Coleman that week. It turned out that Dobbins and Harvey were fine — neither missed a game — but Coleman had a high-ankle sprain that required a stay on injured reserve.

Well, Coleman made his return in Week 7, and it appears he’s now Denver’s No. 1 running back,

Coleman had 9-54-0 rushing and 2-15-0 receiving in the Broncos’ 30-16 win over the Cardinals. Dobbins had 6-23-1 rushing with no receptions. Harvey had 3-6-0 rushing and 2-54-1 receiving.

Coleman played 30 snaps on Sunday, while Harvey played 16 and Dobbins 14. Coleman ran 11 pass routes, Harvey eight, Dobbins two.

Broncos beat writer Zac Stevens quoted Broncos head coach Sean Payton as saying of Coleman after the game: “Got to get him more touches. Definitely.” Payton also said Coleman provided “juice” and looked “really good,” per Stevens.

Payton habitually used two- or three-man backfields during his long tenure as head coach of the Saints, and this Denver backfield could be a three-way affair. But for Coleman to immediately lead the Denver RBs in snaps in his first game back suggests that he will have the meatiest role going forward.

A fourth-round pick from the University of Washington, the 5-8, 220-pound Coleman has good vision and contact balance, and he’s an able pass-catcher and pass blocker.

It’s rare for plug-and-play running backs to be available on waivers, which is why Coleman is going to command a fortune in FAAB money this week. It’s probably going to take $25 for you to have any chance of getting Coleman, and it might require $50 or more to land him with the winning bid.

Omar Cooper Jr. (WR – NYJ): 48% Rostered

  • Next Opponents: LV, @KC, BUF
  • True Value: $9
  • Desperate Need: $18
  • Budget-Minded: $5

Analysis: We should at least consider the possibility that Omar Cooper Jr. is a budding star.

Cooper has topped 100 yards and scored a touchdown in each of his first two games back from the high-ankle sprain he sustained in Week 1. The former Indiana University star had 6-103-1 on seven targets against the Patriots in Week 6, then had 5-115-1 on five targets against the Dolphins in Week 7.

Although he’s only seen 13 NFL targets, Cooper is averaging an outrageous 19.1 yards per target.

Garrett Wilson has been the Jets’ No. 1 receiver early in the season, and we shouldn’t expect Cooper to overtake Wilson as the team target leader. But it’s reasonable to think that Cooper, the 30th overall pick in this year’s draft, can overtake Adonai Mitchell as the Jets’ No. 2 receiver.

In fact, it may have already happened.

Cooper played 38 snaps and ran 23 routes on Sunday. Mitchell played 26 snaps and ran 18 routes. Mitchell was returning from a finger injury that had kept him out of action since Week 2, so it’s possible the Jets were working him back into things slowly. But Cooper played ahead of Mitchell in two-receiver sets on Sunday, and there’s a good chance it will remain that way.

Fantasy managers needing to patch a hole at wide receiver should make a run at Cooper in leagues where he’s available in hopes that we’re seeing the start of something big.

Successful In-Season Fantasy Football Management

Once your fantasy football team is drafted, the work is not over. Successful in-season management is crucial to a winning fantasy football season. Here are some tips to help you manage your team effectively throughout the season:

Stay up to date on player news
Keep track of player injuries, suspensions, and other news that may impact their performance. This will help you make informed decisions about which players to start each week.

Monitor the waiver wire
Keep an eye on the waiver wire and be ready to pick up players who may be undervalued or overlooked by other teams. This can provide valuable depth to your roster. Use our waiver wire assistant to view optimal lineups, waiver and trade suggestions, and league analysis.

Analyze matchups
Analyze the upcoming matchups for your players and opponents to determine which players to start in your lineup each week. Look for favorable matchups and take into account the strength of the opposing team’s defense.

Stay active in trades
Be open to trading players with other teams if it will benefit your team. Analyze the potential impact of a trade before making a decision and negotiate with other teams to find a mutually beneficial agreement.

Be prepared for bye weeks
Plan ahead for bye weeks by having backup players ready to fill in for your starters. Avoid having too many players with the same bye week, which can leave your team short-handed.

Don’t overreact to one bad week
Avoid overreacting to one bad week of performance by a player. Take a long-term view of their performance and evaluate their potential moving forward.

Continuously evaluate your roster
Continuously evaluate your roster throughout the season and make adjustments as needed. Be willing to drop underperforming players or make changes to your lineup if necessary.

Fantasy Football Heat Index: Buy or Sell Surprise Performances

Every Monday of the NFL regular season, we look at weekend breakout performances and analyze their potential for sustained fantasy football success. We will rank these performances from 1-5 based on whether we believe they are one-time or long-term options for your fantasy teams.

Fantasy Football Heat Index: Week 7

Quarterback

Bo Nix (QB – DEN)

Stats:

  • 15-of-29 for 222 Passing Yards
  • 1 Passing Touchdown
  • 7 Rushing Attempts
  • 74 Rushing Yards
  • 1 Rushing Touchdown

Position Rank (pre-MNF): QB3 (26.3 fantasy points)

Analysis: After finishing as the QB27 and QB29 in the previous two weeks, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is back in the QB1 conversation. In the team’s 30-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7, Nix threw for 296 total yards and two touchdowns. He scored a season-high 26.3 points and is the QB3 (pending Monday Night Football results) this week behind only Joe Burrow and Drake Maye.

Sunday’s performance is encouraging for Nix’s fantasy managers, but nearly half of his points (12.2) came on the quarterback’s fluky 62-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Nix has always been effective with his legs, but we need more consistency in the passing game before locking him back into 1-QB lineups.

Heat Index: 3

Running Back

Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)

Stats:

  • 17 Rushing Attempts
  • 124 Rushing Yards
  • 1 Rushing Touchdown
  • 1 Receptions
  • -3 Receiving Yards

Position Rank (pre-MNF): RB6 (18.6 fantasy points)

Analysis: This time last week, New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo looked like a fading fantasy football asset. The second-year battering ram logged zero rushing attempts as the team benched him for veterans Najee Harris, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary.

With New York moving on from Harris on Tuesday and Tracy leaving Sunday’s contest with a hamstring injury, the backfield flipped back to Skattebo in Week 7. He finished with 124 rushing yards and one touchdown. He is the current RB6 (18.6 points) for the week.

Unfortunately, Skattebo also picked up a hamstring injury on the game’s final drive, so fantasy managers should monitor his status over the next week. If he is good to go after the team’s bye, he could return to a massive workload. If he misses time, Singletary would likely take over as New York’s lead back.

Heat Index: 3

https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/myplaybook/start-sit-assistant.php

Wide Receiver

KC Concepcion Jr. (WR – CLE)

Stats:

  • 8 Receptions
  • 129 Receiving Yards
  • 3 Rushing Attempts
  • 23 Rushing Yards

Position Rank (pre-MNF): WR9 (19.2 fantasy points)

Analysis: Cleveland Browns wide receiver KC Concepcion Jr. had a breakout performance in the team’s Week 7 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans. The rookie caught eight of his 10 targets for 129 yards and is the current WR9 this week. Concepcion showed impressive route-running and a strong connection with quarterback Deshaun Watson, consistently making impact plays.

Moving forward, Concepcion should be considered a bye-week FLEX option in most fantasy football formats. Cleveland’s passing game has been inconsistent this season, but Concepcion and fellow rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston look the part.

Heat Index: 3

Tight End

Mason Taylor (TE – NYJ)

Stats:

  • 5 Receptions
  • 62 Receiving Yards
  • 2 Touchdowns

Position Rank (pre-MNF): TE1 (22.7 fantasy points)

Analysis: On National Tight Ends Day, a surprise sits atop the leaderboard. New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor is the current TE1 for the week after catching five of his six targets for 62 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s 28-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.

Taylor has seen six targets in back-to-back games and is outplaying rookie Kenyon Sadiq, but I’d hesitate to chase Sunday’s outlier. Along with Sadiq, Taylor competes for targets with Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr. and Adonai Mitchell. Other big weeks may come, but he’s very touchdown-dependent on an offense led by well-traveled Geno Smith. You can probably do better.

NBA DFS Picks & Lineup Advice: Monday (10/26)

NBA DFS Picks & Lineup Advice: Monday (10/26)

For today’s NBA DFS picks, we’ve got nine games available to us. And there are some great players to consider.

To note: one has to pay attention to lineup decisions and injuries when playing NBA DFS. If any of these players mentioned happen to not be available, it could derail your entire DFS lineup.

Without further ado, here’s the best DFS plays for Monday.

View the best player prop bets for tonight’s slate with our NBA Prop Bet Cheat Sheet

NBA DFS Lineup Optimizer

NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer

NBA DFS Core Plays

Anthony Edwards (SG – MIN)

DraftKings: $8,600
FanDuel: $7,900

I’m going to sound like a broken record, I fear, because I’m going to probably pick Edwards a lot this season.

He can go off for 40-plus points on any night. He did against Miami, and he isn’t going to cost as much compared to other stars because he just put up 27.7 fantasy points against the Raptors and 35.8 points against the Magic.

However, Edwards didn’t need to go off in either of those games because the Timberwolves won both of them in blowouts. I have a feeling that won’t be the case against the Cavaliers.

I’m looking for Edwards to go for well over 40 fantasy points against Cleveland. And considering his cost is lower than, say, Giannis or Jokic, I’ll go with Edwards again.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets

Devin Booker (PG – PHO)

DraftKings: $8,600
FanDuel: $7,900

After producing 34.8 fantasy points against Portland to start the season, Booker tallied 60.9 against the Warriors. In that one, he scored 43 points while making two three-pointers and chalking up seven rebounds, seven assists and a block.

And considering that was a nine-point win over the Warriors, I expect Booker to also elevate his game against the Thunder in this matchup. We all know he’s perfectly capable of putting up 30-plus points offensively. And with his potential, I think he’ll be worth it in DFS.

BettingPros App 3.0

NBA DFS GPP Targets

Keyonte George (PG – UTH)

DraftKings: $5,800
FanDuel: $6,800

For DFS, I love going with a hot hand. And George provides great value considering how well he’s been playing.

In his last appearance against the Lakers, he was just one rebound shy of a triple-double. He totaled 24 points while making a pair of three-pointers to go with nine boards, 10 assists, and a steal. That was good for 46.8 fantasy points.

He’s put up at least 32 fantasy points per contest in all three of his games for the Jazz this season. He’s a big part of this Utah offense, and he’s making the most of his opportunities.

NBA +EV

NBA DFS Value Plays

Kel’el Ware (C – MIL)

DraftKings: $6,400
FanDuel: $5,300

For Ware specifically, it’s really important to keep an eye on lineups because his opportunities could be limited. Still, I’m really excited about him in this matchup against the Pacers.

He’s coming off a game against the 76ers where he tallied 19 points, making 2 of 5 three-pointers, while adding 13 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a pair of blocks. That’s 42.1 fantasy points.

If he keeps playing like he did, maybe he’ll maintain a solid role long-term. Finding that kind of production from a center, at this cost, is hard to beat.

Week 8 Early Waiver Wire Additions (2026 Fantasy Football)

Week 8 Early Waiver Wire Additions (2026 Fantasy Football)

Welcome back to early waivers! The goal here is to give you a sense of which players you might prioritize on Tuesday when waivers open. Of course, the players mentioned here will all be from Sunday’s early-afternoon games or earlier. Also, they will all be rostered in fewer than 40% of leagues. Let’s dive in!

Week 8 Early Waiver Wire Additions

Quarterbacks

Michael Penix Jr. (QB – ATL) (12.9% rostered)

Penix has thrown six touchdowns in two weeks and has only one interception in five games played this season. Penix faces Tampa Bay and Cincinnati in his next two games, both favorable matchups on paper.

Malik Willis (QB – MIA) (6.3% rostered)

Willis is far from a prolific passer, but his rushing ability gives him a viable floor. Over the last two games, Willis has 111 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. His next two games are at home against New England and Detroit. You’d expect the Dolphins to be playing catch-up, which should result in plenty of opportunities for Willis.

Wide Receivers

Omar Cooper Jr. (WR – NYJ) (34.8% rostered)

The Cooper Jr. train has officially taken off. Since returning from injury in Week 6, he has 11 catches, 118 yards, and two touchdowns. Cooper Jr. had another solid game today despite Adonai Mitchell returning. I’m adding and starting Cooper Jr. in all formats, especially with the Jets hosting the Raiders next weekend.

Jordyn Tyson (WR – NO) (34.4% rostered)

Tyson, the eighth overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, has yet to make his debut due to a hamstring injury. It’s unclear when he’ll return, but if you have an open IR slot, he’s worth the spot. The Saints are running the fifth-most plays per game in the NFL this year. If Tyson offers some of the juice he showed in college, combined with any level of volume in this offense, he could offer a high floor.

Jordan Watkins (WR – SF) (0.8% rostered)

The 49ers are on a bye next week, so Watkins should fly under the radar, making him easier to acquire. Watkins was targeted quite a bit late in today’s game as the 49ers were trying to come back from a 12-point deficit. He made an amazing catch in the end zone that was just barely overturned, resulting in an incomplete pass. Watkins is a speculative flex start if the 49ers’ receivers continue to miss time with injuries.

Running Backs

Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB – NYG) (14.1% rostered)

The Giants have been rejiggering their running back equation all season. Now, it appears as though Tracy Jr. is the “1B” to Cam Skattebo‘s “1A.” More importantly, Tracy Jr. should get most of the receiving work. Tracy Jr. was a 2024 fifth-round pick and played quite a bit of WR in college. I don’t think his ceiling is high, but if you’re in a position where you need to start a running back in this tier of rostered players, Tracy Jr. is probably your guy.

Samaje Perine (RB – CIN) (10.9% rostered)

Perine is the clear RB2 in Cincinnati. Chase Brown managers would likely be smart to handcuff Brown by adding Perine. However, in deep leagues or precarious situations, Perine might offer some standalone value. Although he is the second option, he always mixes in during games, including on some passing downs and in goal-line situations. Perine has a touchdown in each of his last two games.

Tyjae Spears (RB – TEN) (28.4% rostered)
Michael Carter (RB – TEN) (0.0% rostered)

Spears is the pass-catching back in Tennessee, but he was inactive today, so Michael Carter took on that role in a few situations. Next weekend, the Titans are 10-point underdogs against the Bengals. If the Titans fall behind and have to throw the ball, Spears (if healthy) or Carter (if Spears is out) should benefit. Spears caught nine passes when the Titans got blown out in Week 5.

Seth McGowan (RB – IND) (4.0% rostered)

This early waivers column might as well be called the “Handcuff Weekly.” If you roster Jonathan Taylor, you should roster McGowan. Should Taylor get hurt or be traded, McGowan would immediately become flex-worthy as the presumed Colts RB1. I doubt McGowan could unlock Taylor-level electricity, but he did show plenty of talent in college and mostly fell to the seventh round of this year’s draft due to off-field reasons.

Tight Ends

Greg Dulcich (TE – MIA) (1.0% rostered)

It wasn’t long ago that the fantasy community was touting Dulcich as the first pass catcher you wanted to roster from the Dolphins. That hasn’t totally panned out. However, Dulcich had three catches for 55 yards in the first quarter today. He finished with five catches and 86 yards. Assuming the Dolphins will be trailing in games, Dulcich will be on the field to catch passes. You could do worse if you need a fill-in at TE.

Defense/Special Teams

Washington Commanders D/ST (2.8% rostered)

The Commanders are on a bye this weekend, so they have an extra week to prepare for their Week 8 home game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are reeling right now, with injuries across the roster, making the Commanders D/ST a high-floor option in Week 8.
